Instead of installing the riprap as depicted on the permitted plans, would it be allowable for them to remove bedrock to the proposed top of riprap elevation? 1 Thanks! This has been verified by Third party testing (Terracon). Per the approved plans, the plunge pool is to have 2-ft over excavation in order to install 2-ft of class II riprap. Instead, can they remove the bedrock to the top of riprap elevation (3.74' down) and not install the riprap? This rock will certainly prevent scour and erosion, plus it's the same material as the natural stream bottom anyway.
