As the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager for Duff -Norton, I am contacting you with a
request to consider a desired change to our Stormwater Permit NCG030004. In preparation of
the new stormwater permit renewal, we have dedicated our efforts to continue to be a good
environmental steward in the Charlotte community.
A review of our manufacturing operations, the portion of the building which we continue to
lease, and our SWPPP Plan, indicates that our Outfall 001 is no longer associated with industrial
activity. We request that it be removed from the list of identified outfalls in our permit. I have
attached a map indicating the location of our current outfalls. Please note that Outfalls 002,
003, and 004 continue to be associated with industrial activity and should be sampled as
required under the new stormwater permit.
