The Cottage Green Subdivision is approximately 75 acres in extent
and is located southeast of the Highway 601 and East Highway 74
intersection, in Union County, NC.
The purpose of the project is to develop the property into a
residential development. HWY 601 Development LLC has previously
obtained 404 and 401 permits for this projects. The previous impacts
included 160 linear feet of stream impacts and 0.05 acre of wetland
impacts.
HWY 601 Development LLC is requesting to add one additional
stream crossing for a proposed road. This crossing was originally
planned to be a bottomless culvert. The location of the additional
crossing is shown in the attached site plan.
