can be achieved with the largest pump taken out of service.
2. Design Average Flow is the firm capacity or the pump station divided by the peaking factor (pn not

PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND NARRATIVE:
The proposed development is located approximately 2,500 LF NE from the intersection of Courtland Drive
(SR 11.22) and NC Hwy 78 (Tramway Rd.) in Sanford, NC. The project proposes the construction of 111
single-family lots. The project is anticipated to generate the following wastewater flows:
Phase 1:
28 (3-BEDROOM) UNITS AT 360 GPD=10,080 GP
Phase 2:
35 (3-BEDROOM) UNITS AT 360 GPD=12,600 GPD
Phase 3:
48 (3-BEDROOM) UNITS AT 360 GPD=17,280 GPD
TOTAL = 39,960 GPD
The proposed gravity sanitary sewer system will consist of approximately 6,542 LF of 8" Ductile Iron and
SDR-21 PVC. Phase 1— 3,382 LF , Phase 11-1,485 LF , Phase III —1,675 LF.
Both the new gravity sanitary sewer system and the pump station will be owned, operated, and
maintained by the City of Sanford, NC.
