Hey Jerry – The sills parallel the stream along the base of the arch and are included in the impacts. The image below is
from the profile in the drawings, the two small rectangles at the base of the arch are the sills and the dashed lines are
depicting the temporary work bridge. I think we need to just let him know that they are included in the impacts and
don’t cross the entire channel but rather run parallel to the stream along the bank.

Hi Jerry. The above referenced project should fit NWP 14 with no compensatory mitigation required. However, the sills
referenced in the PCN requires some clarification. Will this structure extend across N. Buffalo Creek from each footer
(perpendicular to the flow)? If so, we would consider this area as a permanent impact (since you’re not taking it out
afterwards), but not a permanent loss of water since the water would flow over it; this area would need to be clearly
shown on all plan and profile drawings, Permit Drawing Sheets 2-6. If the sill only extends along the bank, please let me
know and confirm that this fill area is already shown on the plans. Thanks.
