I have advised Mr. Hodge, at a public meeting sponsored by the PTRF, of Water Quality at the Washington Office, that the MM studies were conducted within 36 hours of major rain events, some of them over 2" 1 and that the "Fresh Water % data" was tainted by these rain events. This fresh water discharge to Blounts Creek is a pollutant to the brackish environment that change negatively the eco system of the creek. Please have MM use an alternate method of discharge. The users of their mined product can pay the extra cost of the alternate discharges, rather than have the environment pay the cost! 1'•1 105 Waters Edge Dr Chocowinity, NC 27817 NUARIGIFST" or du in an Proposed Vanveboro Quarry of Martin Marietta Matedabs (MMM) J,:O any event_ look at the allached pictures of healthy fish from Mounts Creek at pH 4.0- 55., They, seem to be thriving.
