Randy,
Reference your letter dated May 20, 2021, regarding the on-site mitigation areas UT to North Buffalo Creek Site #4 &
Site #5, and UT to South Buffalo Creek Site #2, located off of Interstate 785/840 near Greensboro, in Guilford County,
North Carolina. These sites are being utilized by the North Carolina Department of Transportation as compensatory
mitigation for impacts to jurisdictional waters of the United States authorized by Department of Army (DA) permit
Action ID No. SAW-2005-21386, associated with construction of the I-785 Greensboro Eastern Loop, TIP No. U-2525B.
By copy of this correspondence, we concur that you have completed referenced DA permit requirements to monitor
these stream mitigation sites for channel stability on an annual basis for five years or until success criteria were
met. Accordingly, no further monitoring of these sites will be required.
Should you have questions, please contact me as indicated below.
Sincerely,
Dave Bailey
