Mason - I agree as well. Still no written approval needed from DWR. Thanks.

For your records, please see the attached revised permit drawings for B-5303 Duplin Bridge 45 over Island Creek on SR
1162 in Duplin County. This project was assigned DWR # 20201753 (written approval not required) and SAW 2013-
00229 (written approval required). The resident engineer’s office is requesting cofferdams for the construction of the
interior bents due to the minimal clearance between the normal water surface level and bottom of the proposed caps
and required form work. The addition of cofferdams for the interior bents increased the temporary SW Impacts to 0.044
acres (+0.033 from original impacts). This change in impacts does not change the authorization status of the previous
DWR approval. Brad, per our conversation yesterday, this minor change in temporary impacts is covered by the existing
NW permit and reissuance is not required.
Robert and Brad, would you please respond to this e-mail that you agree with this assessment of the authorizations and
that no further actions are required by the Department for this additional temporary impact.
Thank you!
