Inspection Summary:
Technical assistance site visit in response to submittal of Notice of Intent (NOI) application for coverage under the NPDES
NCG080000 Stormwater General Permit for Vehicle Maintenance Areas associated with Transportation and Warehousing
activities. Met with Paul Spangenberg, EH&S Compliance Director to verify information on the NOI and provide overview of
permit conditions. Based on discussions with Mr. Spangenberg regarding the facility's operations, the appropriate SIC Code
is 4214 as opposed to 4225 that was inadvertently entered on the NOI. Per Mr. Spangenberg, onsite vehicle maintenance
activities will occur involving the use of approximately 300 gallons of new motor oil per month. A site -specific Stormwater
Pollution Prevention Plan has been drafted and will be finalized prior to the commencement of industrial activities. Monitoring
requirements were discussed and site observations were made including the stormwater discharge outfall. Regional office
staff have no objections to issuance of coverage under the NCG080000 permit.
