Laurie,
I talked to Roberto about this project. Not sure why or how it was assigned a BIMS # - -not even sure if
that was appropriate ? ? ?? Anyway he made his comments, this is basically an environmental
assessment ( ? ? ?) and there is no 404 needed to go along with this (according to BIMS). I could not
find a file here for this in a "quick" search and there isn't much in LF. There are some additional
documents with this consistency review, but it does not constitute a PCN. I'm not really sure if I put
the data in BIMS correctly -you might want to double -check what I did -but I closed this out and said it
was issued, even though I'm not sure this is really a "project ". Hope that makes sense....
Anyway, I can scan in the additional documents on Monday and upload to LF —looks like there are a
few rough sketches and a land use plan for the hydrology monitoring, but other than Roberto's
comments, that's it.
Please let me know if I did the right thing, BIMS still dogs me with new twists and turns every week.

The following comments are for the Pocosin Lakes Wildlife Refuge, Watershed #2 project. An on -site review of the
subject project was conducted on September 24, 2012 to review construction sites of proposed berm, placement of
drainage plugs and locations of flash board risers. After the on -site and application review the following project
comments are submitted:
- Fill slopes on proposed berm should be at a 3:1 slope
- Berm should be vegetated as soon as possible after construction
- Project should have a Sediment and Erosion Control Plan
- This project is described as part of a "hydrology restoration" but no reference site is given
- No management plan was provided with application to describe how water is to be managed to achieve
restoration of subject project.
