The project is located at 2221 J R Kennedy Drive, in Wilmington, NC.
Two parcels, with PID #'s R04807-001-006-002 & R04811-001-029-
000, make up the project limits. The project property abuts Burnt Mill
Creek, which carries a water classification of "C", by the DWR, on its
west side. The site is not located within an area classified as an AEC,
by the DCM, and the USACE has issued a JD, for the site.
Preparation of a site plan is in progress. Currently the front part of
the property is utilized for maintenance and storage of NHRMC
vehicles, The NHRMC plans to expand the site, to accommodate the
increase in vehicles needed to service all of the NHRMC facilities. It is
anticipated less than 1/10th acre of wetlands and less than 300 LF of
warm water stream will be permanently filled, to facilitate the
development. A Pre -Construction Notification will be submitted, once
the plans are received.
