I have attached three pictures for you of fish caught the last few days in our Blounts Creek.
Dianne Thompson is showing us her 20 trout. Local friend Thomas Hopkins caught his 22 inch
trout off the new wildlife fishing pier. He was lucky to get this one up and over the pier
side rails. Brandon Bond from Goldsboro caught himself a big keeper striper and hugh trout.
I have seen five keeper flounders caught this past week.
Our News Section ... We had our community Save Blounts Creek Jubilee last Saturday at Cotton
Patch Marina. I will not attempt to name my friends that made this event a success. W.O.W.
We had 100 plus people to join the fun of music and boat tours and food. Our purpose was to
show and tale of our brackish water fish and wildlife and to educate people on the sins and
destruction of their creek that WILL occur if the mining company gets a permit to discharge
it;s 9,000,000 million gallon daily of hard ironed waste water directly into our river basin.
I just shared picture's of Trout caught at the little end of our creek. Now , how can anyone
not understand that 9,000,000 plus gallons of hard ironed water being ditched pumped every 24
hours for 352 days a year ain't going destroy this small body of water. You should look at
those trout pictures again and download them for a memory sake. You could at least show your
grand kids pictures what used to be in Blounts Creek.
