Subject: South Martha Washington Hydrology Restoration, Weir #2, Compliance Evaluation Inspection
Pasquotank River, Pasquotank River Basin (PAS 50, 30- 3 -(3); WS -IV, Sw)
Dear Mr. Reuter:
On March 20, 2013, Mr. Roberto Scheller of this Office conducted an on -site 401 General Certification
Compliance Inspection of Weir Site #2 on the subject project. During review of Site #2 it was noted that
the site was being stabilized with seed and straw mulch to establish ground cover. Construction on the
water control structure was completed and structure impacts appear to be constructed as permitted.
During the on -site review it was also noted that area of pump -out discharge, where accumulation of fine
sand and sediments were located outside silt fencing, had been removed from wetland area. Some minor
erosion had taken place on the project site and contractor was aware of issues to address.
This letter is to inform you of findings during the Compliance Evaluation Inspection conducted at the
