S&ME 9751 Southern Pine Blvd Charlotte, NC 28273 Re: Determination of No Practical Alternative for Stream Buffer disturbance for Greensboro Line 386 Project. Dear Mr. Lawler: In accordance with the Jordan Water Supply Nutrient Strategy: Protection of Existing Riparian Buffers., any applicant that intends to disturb Zone 1 and Zone 2 of the January 7, 2013 and a Response to Request for Additional Information on February 27, 2013 stating that the stream buffer disturbance was necessary for the replacement of an aging segment of natural gas pipeline with a new 1.6 mile segment of pipe in Greensboro, NC. The City of Greensboro determined that the permanent impact of approximately 650 lf of the Jordan Watersupply Watershed stream buffer were necessary to install the gas line in question. This approval is valid only for the purpose and design that was described in the application. If any modifications are made to the project a written notification describing the changes, must be submitted to the City of Greensboro Water Resources Department, Engineering Division (Stormwater Engineering Section). If the property is sold, the new owner must be given a copy of the certification and approval letter and is thereby responsible for complying with all conditions.
