1. Per the requirements of the Neuse Riparian Buffer Rule, you must show that this site meets
diffuse flow requirements. All new roadside ditches must either:
a. Discharge to existing swales in a manner that does not result in erosion to the
either the swales or stream
b. Be directed to a level spreader- vegetated filter strip or other BMP per Chapter 8
of the BMP Manual (see http: / /portal.ncdenr.ora /web /wa /ws /su /bmp- manual).
2. Please provide a BMP Supplement Form with all required items for every BMP that is
proposed on the site per Item (lb) above. BMP Supplement Forms are also available at
the above web site.
3. Please provide full -sized plan sheets that are stamped, signed and dated.
