Ms. Karoly,
I would like to express my opposition to the permit to allow Martin Marietta to release fresh water into the headwaters
of Blount's Creek. I have reviewed the consultant's report and find the science and testing involved highly questionable,
if not made to order. I am not a scientist, but I have fished the waters of Blount's Creek for +/- 40 years and common
sense dictates the proposed volume of freshwater release will have a devastating impact on the brackish water marine
life that resides in the creek and those that make their season trips to forage and winter there. I truly believe the
brackish water marine life will leave the creek and never return.
This plan is totally unacceptable and will destroy the creek as we know it.
These are public waters belonging all our citizens and I trust our interests will be protected.
Thank you for your service to our state and the opportunity to express my views.
