The purpose of the evaluation was to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in Permit WQ0002056. Mike Seely-ORC and Jim Rowan -irrigation and maintenance staff were both present during the inspection. This facultative lagoon and irrigation system is permitted for 90,000gpd. Currently the flows are averaging approximately 20,000gpd. The 3 lagoons are hydraulically connected and the freeboard was 38 inches. Berms were maintained and had recently been mowed. Operational and maintenance records were well organized and the field was well maintained. There are 2 pump stations that are maintained by staff and they are visited daily and maintenance is documented. Please note that the Permittee is required to follow all requirements in 15A NCAC 02T . 0403 for deemed permitted collection systems. An Operator Designation form needs to be submitted to update the ORC and Backup ORC for this facility, a copy of this form was provided to the ORC during the inspection. Monitoring wells are sealed with water tight caps and locked. The irrigation field was recently mowed and in good condition and irrigation was observed during the inspection. Every other row is irrigated at a time and then alternated for the next spray event. Application measurement is by pump run times.
