REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION-Stormwater Management Plan
On Apri127, 2007, the.Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received the revised stormwater management
plan prepared by your engineer, Wolverton & Associates, of Duluth, Georgia, to comply with the
conditions of the revised 401 Water Quality Certification issued on May 15, 2007. The following
additional information is needed before the Stormwater Management Plan can be approved:
Please provide a detailed planting plan (1" = 20' or larger) prepared by a qualified individual
showing:
- a variety of suitable species,
- sizes, spacing and locations of plantings,
- total quantity of each type of plant specified,
- a planting detail,
- the source nursery for the plants, and
- fertilizer and watering requirements to establish vegetation.
2. For Wetland 1B, please explain how the device will be protected from sediment input during
the construction of Basin 1B.
3. For Wetland 2B, please combine the two forebays into a single forebay on the southern side
of the BMP if possible. This will increase the flow path between the inlet and outlet devices
and improve the effectiveness of the wetland.
4. For Wetland 2C, please remove the pipe between the forebay and the micropool. In addition,
please provide a berm between the forebay and the micropool to prevent short-circuiting.
Please respond within three (3) weeks of the date of this letter by sending three (3) copies this information
in writing. This letter only addresses the Stormwater Management Plan review and does not authorize
any impacts to wetlands or streams until the plans are approved. Please call Annette Lucas, at 919-715-
