NCG510532 Dear Sir/Madam: Attached is the November 2014 Discharge Monitoring Report for the 140 West Franklin site on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This work was conducted under NPDES Permit No. NCG510532. Discharge from site dewatering activities to outfall 001 began May 17, 2012. Water samples were collected from outfall 001 on November 3, 2014 for the quarterly sampling event as required by the permit. Samples were sent to SGS Environmental Services, Inc. of Wilmington, North Carolina for analysis. Analytical results indicate that all compounds except lead were below the permitted daily maximum limits. Flow rates were recorded and documented and were below the permitted daily maximum limits. This information is submitted as required by Part II, of Section D. (2.) of its NPDES Permit. The lead compound that is over the daily maximum limit is indicative of the carbon filter lifespan, and carbon changeout is scheduled to be completed by mid January 2015. A water sample will be collected and analyzed in January after the carbon is replaced to confirm the permit compounds to be below the permitted daily limits. If you have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me at 919- 369-5679.
