Martin do these drawings meet the requirement? I'm not sure how much sq ft is, the builder said 320 maybe... How
accurate do you need that?

Chris — my apologies, I've been out sick for a few days with a stomach flu. Yep.
I think what you are planning is good for James and the Corps, and he can issue what you need for the boat slip and dock
and bulkhead. I don't think any impacts into the buffer are covered with the General Permit, however we can cover this
separately as needed, and if necessary. I'll touch base with you early next week when I get a chance to return some
calls. You want to clear down through the buffer to the boat dock, we can cover that separately, but go ahead and think
in terms of what you want. Our buffer authorizations (which are issued if the clearing of the buffer exceeds necessary
construction and cannot be restored) are issued on a sgft basis, so at a minimum you will want to sketch an idea of your
plans and we can discuss if need anything further.
I'll try and call you early next week...
Thanks, Martin

Chris — I talked to James, you will need a permit for the shoreline bulkhead but not the boat slip. I'm going to have to
defer to James regarding which form to submit but I believe it's the PCN form.
In addition, we (DWQ) may require a buffer authorization for construction of the boat house, I'll check on that while you
prep the form James is going to send you. If this is required, you will use the same form, and check a box labeled
'Riparian Buffer Authorization'. You will also need to show the footprint of construction (i.e. square footage) of the boat
slip.
Check in with me before you get ready to submit...
Thanks, and let me know if you have questions
