The purpose of this letter is to inform you that the Division of Energy, Mineral, and Land Resources
(DEMLR) has reviewed and approved the amendment to the text of the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 30 —
Zoning and Subdivisions, Article I1, Division 3, Section 3 0-13 1 — Water SupplyWatershed Protection
Overlay District (WSWOD) with regard to the request received by our office on May 10, 2021. The
Town submitted the revised ordinance in compliance with the Water Supply Watershed Protection Rules.
DEMLR approved the ordinance in accordance with North Carolina General Statute 143-214.5 and North
Carolina Administrative Code 15A NCAC 2B .0100, .0200 and .0623.
