Dear Ms. Karoly:
DEPARTMENT OF
ENGINEERING
The City of Rocky Mount has reviewed and approved the stormwater management plan for the proposed
Beaver Pond Road as shown on the construction plans sealed by J. Michael Stocks, P.E. on October 22,
2012.. The City operates a Certified Local Stormwater Program under Phase II NPDES Stormwater
Program and is committed to requiring on -site stormwater management measures such as riparian
buffers, bioretention cells, constructed wetlands, and level spreaders for any new development within
our jurisdiction. All development is also required to meet stringent water quality requirements in
accordance with the City of Rocky Mount's Land Development Code, the City of Rocky Mount's
Stormwater Management Program, the Tar - Pamlico River Basin Riparian Buffer Protection Rules, and
the Tar - Pamlico Nutrient Management requirements.
