NCDOT would like to request a modification to the modification requested on 4/7/2010 for the
pipe replacement on SR 1214 Emeline Drive in Dare County. Instead of removing the 2 @ 24" x
30' Corrugated Aluminum Pipes that were installed and replacing them with 2 @ 36" x 30' CAP,
NCDOT is proposing to add an additional 24" x 30' CAP for a total of 3 @ 24" x 30' CAP. All
the original conditions of the permit will be followed. CAMA GP .2300 No. A54277 & NW 3
Action ID SAW- 2009 - 01856. Let me know if you need any additional information.

NCDOT would like to request a permit modification for the pipe replacement on SR 1214 Emeline
Dr. in Dare County. Originally it was thought that the existing pipes were 2 @ 24" x 27' CMP
and would be replaced with 2 @ 24" x 30' CAP. During removal of the existing pipes, it was
discovered that they were 36" in diameter and were replaced with the 24" diameter CAP's that
were on site in order to re -open the road. The modification would be to remove the existing
2 @ 24" x 30' CAP and install the proposed 2 @ 36" x 30' CAP with rip rap on both ends. All
the original conditions of the permit will be followed. CAMA GP .2300 No. A54277 & NW 3
