Flow Reduction Request

Dear Mr. Johnson:
On November 6, 2009, the Pretreatment, Emergency Response and Collection Systems (PERCS) Unit
received a flow reduction' request for connections to the Town of Creswell WWTP. The letter requests an
allowable flow rate of 215 GPD per 3 bedroom residence based on the evaluated data from the WWTP and
water usage data. Additional information was requested and was received on December 9, 2009.
Based on the information available, the Division is unable to grant a reduction in flow at this time. It is
recommended that the flow reduction be readdressed in the future using twelve months of actual data from
residences connected to the Tyrrell County sewer system. At which point and upon written approval of a flow
reduction utilizing the actual usage, the permit may be modified, if appropriate.
