Dear Mr. Monroe:
The following is a response to your comments dated August 20, 2020 regarding the NOV for Lance
Road Subdivision in Buncombe County.
Reinforced Box Culvert Violations
Required Response 1: "The reinforced box culvert was installed incorrectly and was not embedded in the stream
bed."
The box culvert referred to as UT-1 installed on an unnamed tributary (UT) of Avery Creek (Classified B)
for the project has been installed and properly bedded per your request. Following a site visit on February
8, 2021 our evaluation shows that requirements have been met as requested by your office. Please see the
attached before and after photographs.
All of the above information was supplied by a collaboration between professionals representing ACE. If
