DFSCRIPTION OF PERMIT MODIFICATION
This application is a modification to existing Permit No. WQ0028843 and decreases the 24" gravity
main originally permitted to a 21" gravity main. This project was bid as a 24" PVC sewer main
with the following alternates: 21" ductile iron sewer main, 18" PVC sewer main, and 18" ductile
iron sewer main. After bids were received, the Town elected to award the contract for the 18" PVC
sewer main due to the substantial cost savings. After award of the contract, a change order was
executed to upsize this pipe to a 21" sewer main. Due to pipe materials available at the time of
construction, all 21" ductile iron pipe sections were constructed as 24" pipe sections.
