HomeMy WebLinkAbout20200987 Ver 1_USACE Permit_202105102-C 6-1 DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY WILMINGTON DISTRICT, CORPS OF ENGINEERS 151 PATTON AVENUE ROOM 208 ASHEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA 28801-5006 May 10, 2021 Regulatory Division Action ID: SAW-2015-00788 Mr. Jeff Ferguson North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission 1701 Mail Service Center Raleigh, North Carolina 27699 Dear Mr. Ferguson: Regional Office Enclosed is a Department of the Army permit to discharge fill into open waters resulting in 7.5 acres (ac) of permanent impacts to open waters (dredging and conversion to wetlands); 9.5-ac of temporary impacts to open waters (access and erosion control); and 4.21-ac of temporary impacts to wetlands (access and erosion control), associated with dredging of the recreational navigation channel between the Lake Adger public boat access area and the lake's main channel adjacent to the Lake Adger marina. The Corps is issuing this permit in response to your written request of June 16, 2020, and the ensuing administrative record_ Any deviation in the authorized work will likely require modification of this permit. If a change in the authorized work is necessary, you should promptly submit revised plans to the Corps showing the proposed changes. You may not undertake the proposed changes until the Corps notifies you that your permit has been modified. Carefully read your permit. The general and special conditions are important. Your failure to comply with these conditions could result in a violation of Federal law. Certain significant conditions require that: a. You must complete construction before April 30, 2046. b. You must notify this office in advance as to when you intend to commence and complete work. c.
