Annual Avg Daily Traffic(veh/hr/day): Design/Future: 210 Year:2020 Existing: 210 Year: 2020 General Project Narrative: The project involves the replacement of Bridge#480141 over Snow Creek on SR 1585(Cattlemans Rd.)in Iredell County,NC south of Love Valley. The bridge failed in (Description of Minimization of Water November 2020. The proposed 140'long by 33'wide three-span(21"cored slab)bridge to would replace the existing 120.5'long by 20'wide(timber deck on steel I-beams) Quality Impacts) three-span bridge. The proposed grade will be about 2.5'above existing grade at the crossing. The proposed bridge will have no direct discharge into Snow Creek(no deck drains). Stormwater runoff from the proposed bridge will flow to traffic bearing grated inlets on both sides of the roadway at the east approach of the bridge where it will be diffused with riprap at the proposed pipe outlets on the north and south sides of the approach. All proposed stormwater runoff is discharged as far away from the stream and at the lowest velocities as practicable.
