Enclosed is a copy of the Compliance Evaluation Inspection conducted April
25, 2000.
As part of the inspection, a tour of the Water Treatment Plant was conducted.
All 'observations and --recommendations. ' are in Part D. Summary' of

Section D: Summary of Findings/Comments:
1. A copy of the NPDES permit was available upon request.
2. Laboratory data for the months of June 1999 and July 1999 was reviewed. All data on the lab sheets
appeared to be correct as reported on the DMR's: All samples taken for the required parameters are
analyzed by Microbac Environmental Laboratories.

3. The compliance evaluation for the period of March, 1999 to February, 2000 revealed one violation for
falling below the minimum limit for pH. On September 7, 1999, the pH was recorded as 4.2 SU. The
minimum limit for pH is 6.0 SU. The "ORC," Michael Dean, reported that this violation was due to
operator error when the sample collected was put into a sample bottle that contained preservative. With
renewal of the NPDES permit in.December 1999, pH monitoring is no longer required at this facility.
4. This facility has a sand filter backwash system. The system is backwashed approximately once a week.
The wastewater is pumped into a holding tank where the solids settle out and the effluent is discharged
into the receiving stream. Discharge from this site began in February 1999 and no sludge disposal has
had to take place The flow rate is determined by a meter on the filter system.
5. The outfall was accessible and the effluent appeared to be very clear.
