Yes, perforated piping with multiple pumps to filter bags to be released onsite through vegetation lined channels.
From the company that provided the dewatering plan:
Both are based around the idea of using 6" sock tile headers, with 4" sock tiles teeing into them. Then placing a 3-4" pump at the
end of the 6" headers.
The 6" would be installed at a standard depth of 5'. The 4" would be at a minimum of 24", all the way down to a maximum of 5'
where it ties into the 6". This would create passive drainage back to the headers obviously.
Thanks!
Liz

Is this a stormwater collection system designed to catch rainfall and divert thru p-pipes into the subsurface (i.e., French drain)?

Subject: NC Requirements for construction dewatering
Good evening Mr. Rogers,
I was hoping you could clarify the requirements for dewatering sites during construction.
There appear to be many overlapping requirements for wells depending on the type.
Are sump pumps connected to perforated piping for temporary construction dewatering purposes regulated by NC?
What about the discharge of pumped water?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Best regards,
Liz Ward
