Thank you for taking the time to meet with us onsite to discuss the referenced lot and the necessary
steps for moving forward. As per you request, I have provided further detail regarding our request and
have included a survey for your use. As we discussed, this project may not require a Buffer
Authorization because we have no work in Zone 1, however, we request Buffer Authorization from you
to ensure no future issues with permitting through the City of Raleigh. Our project includes removing
the existing home and rebuilding a new single family residence at the same location. Several details
regarding our proposed work:
1. This project includes no work or new impervious area within Zone 1.
2. Project will add 150 sgft of impervious area with Zone 2.
3. The single - family residence is a minimum of 30 feet landward of the top of the bank or the
normal water level
4. Stormwater generated by new impervious surface is to outlet such that stormwater flow can
sheet flow across the yard whereby it can course directly into stream or surface waters and
diffuse flow maintained through the protected riparian buffer.
