LLC. Charlotte, NC. 2- There will be no "recirculation" of the ground water. We will be extracting welt water via the Vac Truck which will be disposed of off -site by a licensed waste disposal facility and injecting the same volume of water that will be obtained from a nearby fire hydrant. The application says groundwater will be extracted and will be disposed offsite. Where is the waste water going to? 2. In the application the description is written as "Pilot Groundwater Re -circulation Event". i wanted to make sure that the injection of potable water was one way and that there is no "recirculation" as this is not allowed under 15A NCAC 02C.0217 "permitting by rule. DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED INJECTION ACTIVITIES AT THE SITE – Provide a brief narrative regarding the cause of the contamination, and purpose, scope, goals of the proposed injection activity: The purpose of this implementation is to remediate petroleum hydrocarbons in groundwater at the site and help promote expedited in situ biodegradation of constituents of concern (COCs) in groundwater. The primary COC that will be targeted is benzene which remains above the North Carolina NCAC Groundwater Quality 2L Standards in the groundwater sample collected in November 2019. Pilot Groundwater Recirculation Event - The groundwater recirculation event will run over the course of 5 days. The scope of work involves extraction of groundwater from AFVR-2 and MW-1 into a vacuum truck for offsite disposal. Potable water sourced from the Town of Marshville will be injected into monitoring wells MW-4, MW-5R, and MW-9. The layout of the extraction and injection well network is shown on Figure 2. A full summary of existing well construction details and gauging data are provided in Table 1. When the extraction pumps are deployed, they will be positioned with the bottom of the pump approximately 1 foot above the DTB measurement. Pumping will begin at approximately 1 gallon per minute (GPM) and will be increased to 4-5 GPM depending on drawdown. J.
