I think it's reasonable. Robert, do you concur? (Since it is storm water bmp related).

Hi Amy,
FYI. I got a call from DEMLR on Monday about a pond turbidity complaint they received on the above
project. Kim (with regional DEMLR) met with DOT at the project to conduct an inspection of EC measures on
April 22. She is drafting a report about the inspection. Sounds like there were some problems.
I visited the site with Jerry yesterday and reviewed NPDES records. There were no reportable sediment losses
but there were problems with the turbidity curtain coming lose. There are two more sediment basins on the
upstream side of the attached picture along side a JS that feeds the pond. There was evidence of stormwater
flowing over the weir during heavy storms. I told Jerry DOT should collect pond samples for turbidity because
it appears that there may be a WQ violation. I doubt samples will exceed the standard, but since the curtain
came loose previously, there is some responsibility there that DOT demonstrate that there is not a WQ
standard violation. Do you think that is a reasonable request from us to DOT?
