PROJECT NARRATIVE
The property served by this proposed sewer extension is located near the intersection of
Country Club Drive and Kings Landing Road in Hampstead, NC and includes Tax Parcel k's:
4203-14-8410-000, 4203-15-2587-000, 4203-24-8646-000 and 4203-24-2709-0000. The property
drains to an unnamed tributary of Old Topsail Creek (SA, HQW; 18-87-12) — White Oak Basin.
On behalf of Pluris Hampstead, LLC, Bill Clark Homes of Wilmington, LLC desires to install
gravity sewer to serve additional lots as set forth in the proposed modification of permit
WQ0039568. The initial issuance of the permit included 4,271 LF of 8-inch gravity sewer and
allocation of 22,620 gpd service to 61 lots plus an amenity center (660 gpd). To date, gravity
sewer for 61 lots plus the amenity center has been constructed and certified as Phases 1 and 2.
This modification proposes an additional 1,906 of 8-inch gravity sewer for service to an
additional 60 lots as part of Phases 3-6. Wastewater from these additional phases will consist of
21,600 GPD to be ultimately collected and carried to an existing pump station located within the
Villages at Olde Point subdivision (located off of Country Club Dr), where it will then be
pumped to the existing force main located along US Hwy 17 (Pluris Hampstead, LLC). Note, a
proposed modification to permit WQ0037824 is being submitted concurrent with this
modification for Carolina Creek Subdivision for upgrade to the Villages at Olde Pointe pump
station for capacity to accommodate the additional lots.
The Lot numbers for the additional 51 lots proposed in this permit modification are as follows:
• Lots 39-55; 108-115 (Phase 3)
• Lots 82-86, 86A, 87-97 (Phase 4)
Lots 61-67; 74-78 (Phase 5)
• Lots 11-16 (Phase 6)
