This compliance inspection was conducted by DWR staff person Patrick Mitchell. The majority of the inspection reflects compliance with Permit No. WQ0040626. However, the item listed below warrants your attention and action. Four of the spray heads were not spraying properly at the time of the inspection. Clogging debris are not uncommon for a newly constructed system. Please routinely inspect the system and clean nozzles as often as necessary to ensure proper spray dispersal. Failure to do so could result in runoff and potential discharges to surface waters. A follow-up inspection will be conducted to review the above listed items. Please see the attached inspection report for additional observations and comments. Mr. Andrew Miller, Permittee accompanied staff on the inspection. The majority of the inspection reflects compliance with the permit. However, the following item warrants attention: Spray heads #4, #6, #7 and #8 were not spraying properly at the time of the inspection. This is a new system recently put into use. It appears that debris from construction and system installation are clogging spray nozzles. Permittee plans to clean nozzles following the inspection. ***A FOLLOW-UP INSPECTION IS NEEDED TO ENSURE NO OTHER ISSUES CAUSING THESE ISSUES. OTHER NOTES: - The areas inside the spray field which required smoothing have been completed. Good. - The final grade in the area of the treatment units has been completed meeting the minimum rise on the risers and electrical. Grass is to be planted soon. - AQWA is the designated operating contract company at the time of inspection. AQWA ORCs monitoring the system remotely and are maintaining system records. - The system has telemetry and AQWA maintains extra UV disinfection bulbs.
