the volume of wastewater to be permitted in this project has been evaluated along the route to the receiving
wastewater treatment facility and that the [low from this project is not anticipated to cause any capacity
related sanitary sewer overflows or overburden any downstream pump station en route to the receiving
treatment plant under normal circumstances, given the implementation of the planned improvements
identified in the planning assessment where applicable. This analysis has been performed in accordance
with local established policies and procedures using the best available data. This certification applies to
those items listed above in Sections I and II plus all attached planning assessment addendums for which I
am the responsible party. Signature of this form certifies that the receiving collection system or treatment
works has adequate capacity to transport and treat the proposed new wastewater.

Holly Ridge Pump Station Upgrade is in design or under construction with

The Holly Sprites Pump Station Upgrade is currently under construction to expand
pumping capacity to a firm capapcity of 860 gallons per minute, or 0.495 mgd average day.
The project is anticipated to be completed during the summer of 2021.
Therefore:
Given reasonably expected conditions and planning information, there is sufficient justification to allow
this flow to be permitted, without a significant likelihood of over -allocating capacity in the system
infrastructure.
I understand that this does not relieve the collection system owner from complying with G.S. 143-
215.67(a) which prohibits the introduction of any waste in excess of the capacity of the waste disposal
system.

On Septem-er 10. 2001. the Division of Water Qua:iry Non Discharge Permitting Unit received your
flow reduction request for future and present, but not yet tributary, single-family dwellings in the Town of
Fuquay-Varina_ The letter requests approval of a residential flow value of 220 GPD/residence for these
dwellings.
The information provided water use information for 2000 and actual daily waste water flow recordings
for their peak month of May. Other supporting data was provided. The evaluation covered 90 homes that are
representative of the subdivisions in Fuquay-Varina in accordance with 15A NCAC 2H .0219(1)(3).
Based on the information submitted, the Division hereby approves the use of 75 GPD per bedroom
per dwelling for residential units (225 GPD per three bedroom home) in all applicable non -discharge permit
applications for future sewer line extensions and present, but not yet tributary projects for the Town of Fuquay-
Varina. The Division did note that the average flow per residence in February 2000 was 271 GPD. Regardless
of the adiusted desien daiiv wastewater flow rate. at no time shall the wastewater flows exceed the effluent
limits defined in the Town's NPDES nermit for the treatment facility or exceed the ca acity of the sewers
downstream of any new sewer extension
Please submit a separate letter to the Raleigh Regional Office that requests flow reductions for
specific previously permitted projects (indicate permit number, Project name, ermitted flow, new flow

This letter is to serve as a request to permit the collection system of a residential development in Fuquay-
Varina in Wake County. The proposed development consists of 65 single family homes in the South Lakes
development located at the intersection of Old Honeycutt Road and Kennebec Road in Fuquay-Varina, NC.
Approximately 2,628 LF of 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer lines that will tie into the downstream
collection system already permitted in WQ0039812. The proposed flow is 17,063 gpd and is 300 gpd
for 3.5 bedroom (75gpd/br) based on the Town's standards. Attached please find the application with
fee, an original and a copy of the FTA04-16, FTSE 04-16, and site maps for your review and approval.
