On behalf of the Town of Clayton, we are enclosing one (1) original and one (1) copy
of the following documents for your review and approval regarding modification to
the above referenced permit and project located in Clayton, NC:
• Application Fee ($480.00)
• Fast Track Sewer System Extension Application (FTA 04-16)
• Existing Permit No. WQ0042080
• USGS Topographic Map
• Street Level Site Map
The original permit was to replace and upsize the existing 18-inch pipe to a 24-inch
pipe. The Town requested an Alternate Bid for the 18-inch pipe to be replaced with a
30-inch pipe. This was due to recent future flow projections and a possible
realignment of an existing upstream force main to discharge to the Little Creek
OutfaIl. The 30-inch Alternate Bid was within the Town's budget and has been
accepted by the Town Council for contract award.
This project does not include new services and will not generate or add new flow to
the collection system.
All proposed work is to be constructed either across open land in new or existing
permanent utility easement or across NCDOT-maintained roadways, specifically
South Lombard Street (NC Highway 42). This project will be built per Town of
Clayton and The Wooten Company construction standards.
