Subject: South Martha Washington Hydrology Restoration, Compliance Evaluation Inspection (CEI)
Pasquotank River, Pasquotank River Basin (PAS 50, 30- 3 -(3); WS -IV, Sw)
Dear Mr. Reuter:
On January 15, 2013, Mrs. Amy Adams and Mr. Roberto Scheller of this Office conducted an on -site 401
General Certification Compliance Inspection of Site #1 and Site #2 of the subject project. During review
of Site #1 it was noted that the site was stable with a good vegetated ground cover. Construction on the
water control structure was completed and construction impacts appear to be constructed as permitted.
During review of Site #2 it was noted that the proposed water control structure was under construction
and the construction site enclosed by silt fencing. It was also noted that the area of pump -out discharge
had an accumulation of fine sand and sediments located outside silt fencing. Please note that this material
is considered wetland fill and is not permitted under your General Certification, this material must be
removed and area restored as nearly as possible to pre- existing conditions before completion of the
project.
This letter is to inform you of findings during the Compliance Evaluation Inspection conducted at the
