Location/Description of Proposed Activity: The proposed project is to culvert 602 linear feet of Nobel
Canal. The project will begin at Mill Street and proceed westwardlv along Nobel Canal to Grimes
Street.

REMARKS:
* The stated purpose of the proposed project is to protect the corner of a building. This can be
accomplished by a much smaller project that is less intrusive environmentally and should be thoroughly
explored and presented.
* The 2 -page cost analysis of various alternatives stapled to the back cover of the document does not appear
to include potential mitigation costs.
* There is no letter of commitment from a private bank or NCEEP to provide stream mitigation.
* The project plans submitted with the application can be no larger than 11x17 in size

Thanks for the update on all of these. I get questions about anything that has been around
awhile and it's been awhile since we stopped doing tracking tardy, so I'm just trying to catch up
with folks. If Nobel is an IP than I should have the file somewhere from Ian - I'll look and see
what I can find on this end as well.
