Pursuant to your request dated March 4, 2021, impacts to approximately 30 linear feet of South Beaver Creek and 0.05
acre of adjacent wetlands for the construction of a residential driveway at the intersection of Clarence Lyall Road and
Mulatto Mountain Road, near West Jefferson, Ashe County, NC is approved. No written authorization (other than this
email) will be provided. The work is authorized in accordance with the attached Nationwide Permit #18 and its
associated conditions which is set to expire March 18, 2022. Please note that in -stream work is prohibited from October
15 to April 15. This authorization does not preclude/replace the need to obtain any other federal/state/local approvals
