Harnett County is in the process of completing the wastewater project in Erwin that will allow for all
wastewater flow to be collected and pumped to North Harnett Regional. Pursuant to requirements in our
agreement with the Clean Water Management Trust Fund, please consider this the County's official notice
of intent to close the above referenced facilities and rescind the NPDES permits. Start-up of the new .
regional pumping station in Erwin is set for January 15, 2013 and it is our intent to put this station into
service as soon as the appropriate Engineering certifications are complete.
HCDPU will notify the Fayetteville Regional office of the official day that the new station is put into
continuous service and will immediately begin steps to officially decommission both treatment facilities. If
