This WWTP's low flow conditions have created problems with the automatic
sampler turning itself off while obtaining the composite sample for DMR
parameters. DWQ-FRO has reviewed the conditions and will allow the
permittee to collect the composite sample as four individual grabs per
effluent composite. In addition to the routine monthly composite
sampling, this mode of collection also includes the composite sample for
quarterly aquatic toxicity monitoring. If there are questions or
objections, please let me know.
Thanks, Dale.

Paul,
Swift Industries wants -to collect Grab samples for the aquatic toxicity testing instead of Composites
(as required by their NPDES permit ---which has expired). The DMRs have been reporting the
chemistries as caught by Composite sampling. Since there is flow, my suggestion is for them to find a
way to catch composites for the aquatic toxicity testing. I'll be glad to go there to try to figure out how
to do it. Please see the attached Microsoft Word document.
Thanks, Dale.
