Harnett County Dear Mr. Tart: Enclosed please find a copy of the Compliance Evaluation Inspection form from the inspection conducted on May 19, 2009. The Compliance Evaluation Inspection was conducted by Mark Brantley of the Fayetteville Regional Office. The cooperation of Kenny Fail, Grade IV ORC, was greatly appreciated. The facility was found to be in compliance with permit NC0001406. As a reminder, preservation of the Waters of the e State can.only be achieved through consistent NPDES Permit compliance. Comments • Harnett County took over operations at this facility in October 2008. Since then the facility's staff has regulated the flow and allows the plant to discharge on as needed basis. This allows the facility to better control the chlorination and dechlorination of the effluent. Since this procedure has been instated this facility has not had any fecal violations as compared to several fecal violations during the year of 2008. • It is the understanding of the Division of Water Quality that Harnett County still plans to close this facility and divert the flow to the North Harnett County Regional WWTP.
