The Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County (WSACC) has or currently expects to be able to make available capacity at the Rocky River Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant and appropriate sewer interceptors to transport and treat the domestic wastewater from the proposed, Abbington Subdivision Phase 6 project located along Rocky River Road just west of the Hickory Ridge Road intersection. This project includes 18 single family residential lots. The wastewater generated by this project will be conveyed through the Town of 'Harrisburg's proposed and existing 8-inch gravity system, then enter WSACC's system at the existing 12-inch Fuda Creek Interceptor just west of Hickory Ridge Road. WSACC, agrees to accept wastewater from the proposed project based on information provided by Latham -Walters Engineering, Inc. (Civil Engineer for the project) using North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources (NCDENR) wastewater flow guidelines. The projected flow is 6,480. gpd; however WSACC expects the actual wastewater flow to more closely approximate 4,500 gpd based upon Master Plan engineering data. By requesting flow acceptance, the Town of Harrisburg acknowledges that WSACC may need to upgrade, expand, or construct new facilities to accommodate the increased flow volume granted by this and previous flow acceptance. Appropriate design and construction will be initiated when actual flows dictate but may be subject to situations that WSACC does not expect or control. Based upon flow of 6,480 gpd and cost of $8.1261gpd to provide treatment and transportation capacity, this flow acceptance represents an estimated capital expenditure :in excess of $52,656. For your information and based upon NCDEN4R wastewater flow guidelines. WSACC has approved 1„692,582 gallons of 'flow acceptance for the Town of Harrisburg from 1992.to present and 60,160 gallons of flow acceptance year-to-date including this request. Based upon the approved flow acceptances. WSACC has committed capacity 'valued in excess of $13,753,921 for the Town of Harrisburg since 1992 including $488,860 for this calendar year.
