I realized I had forgot to include the Structural Engineering letter I received from Excel Engineering with the package sent to
you on Dec 21. Enclosed is the letter I received from Rob Munach, Excel Engineering on June 27, 2012. Please include this in
your package, the Town of Cary also received a copy in June.

I wanted to let you know I sent the info you suggested, both appeal letter and 2 copies of TOC correspondence documents. I
had sent this on 12/21 via certified mail to Karen Higgins and received the return receipt dated 12/27. 1 wanted to share this
info should there be any questions, also interested in our next steps or if you need anything from me in moving forward to
acquire the certified letter for TOC.

I reviewed the footings and framing of your recently constructed rear screened porch and deck. It was
constructed in accordance with my attached, sealed design drawings and in a workmanlike manner. I do not
feel additional foundation or framing inspections are required by the Town of Cary
The conclusions reached in this report are based upon the condition of the structure at the time of the
review. No warranty as to the future performance of any item is expressed or implied. No areas of the
structure were reviewed other than those discussed in the report. The review was performed in
accordance with generally accepted engineering principles and practices and used a standard of care
consistent with other local design professionals limited by the scope and budget. All opinions are subject to
revision based on new or additional information.
