Box 207 Shelby, NC 28151 Subject: Bioassay Compliance Inspection City of Shelby/First Broad River WWTP NPDES Permit No. NCO024538 Cleveland County Dear Mr. Hux: Enclosed is a copy of the laboratory results for the effluent samples collected during the Bioassay Compliance Inspection performed,at the subject facility on October 18,2016 by Ori Tuvia. The sampling results revealed that the facility passed the Whole effluent toxicity test(see attached results). Please inform,the facility's Operator-in-Responsible Charge (ORC)of our findings by forwarding a copy of the enclosed report. Shelby WWTP has a permitted effluent discharge of 6 million - gallons per.day(MGD)entering the First Broad River(7Q I 0 of 44.3 CFS). Whole effluent samples were. collected on October 18 and October 20 by On Tuvia and facility representative Kenneth Wellmon for use in a chronic Ceriod'aph pia dubia pass-fail toxicity test. This test passed.
