The line is 225' of 6-inch at a slope of approximately 8% (the plans show 11©/0). SUMMARY - The line at half full at the slope provided (n .013) will provide way over 2 fps even if the actual flow will not. The design criteria uses the 2 fps velocity design at half full but also limits how small the pipe can be. Therefore, ice:variance is wry. The sign meets our regs and criteria.... Box 1248 Kannapolis, NC 28082 Subject: Flow Acceptance Harding St. Church of God — Private Sewer Connection Dear Mr, Moody: Ofik.e... 232 Davidson Hw Concord, NC 28027 Mail to: P.0, Box 42B Concord, NC 28026-0428 Phone 704..786.1783 Fax: 704..795..1564 This is in response to the City's request for flow acceptance received 2/28/03. The Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County (WSACC) has or currently expects to be able to make available capacity at the Rocky River Wastewater Treatment Plant and appropriate sewer interceptors to transport and treat the doniestic wastewater from the proposed private sewer connection for the Harding Street Church of God. WSACC agrees to accept wastewater proposed complex based on the information provided by Carlos J. Moore & Associates, P.A. (Engineer for the Project) using North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources (NCDENR) wastewater flow guidelines. The projected flow is 900 gpd; however WSACC expects the actual wastewater flow to more closely approximate 720 gpd based upon Master Plan engineering data. By requesting flow acceptance, the City of Kannapolis acknowledges that WSACC may need to upgrade, expand, or construct new facilities to accommodate the increased flow volume granted by this and previous flow acceptance. Appropriate design and construction will be initiated when actual flows dictate but may be subject to situations that WSACC does not expect or control. Based upon flow of 900 gpd and cost of $8.126/gpd to provide treatment and transportation capacity, this flow acceptance represents an estimated capital expenditure in excess of $7,313. For your information and based upon NCDENR wastewater flow guidelines, WSACC has approved 1,889,173 gallons of flow acceptance for the City of Kannapolis from 1992 to present and 38,340 gallons of flow acceptance year-to-date including this request. Based upon the approved flow acceptances WSACC has committed capacity valued in excess of $15,351,419 for the City of Kannapolis since 1992 including $311,550 for this calendar year. Downstream facilities from the proposed project are scheduled in WSACC's current Capital Improvement Program (CIP) to increase available capacity. Projects on the CIP are subject to approval by WSACC's Board of Directors, support from local governing bodies, regulatory approval, and funding availability. The following schedule of CIP projects is tentative and may be delayed by unforeseen circumstances: a pots mg; t.
