Both drain to Neuse River. Please provide a brief description of this project (attach site plan if available): A solar array field is proposed at the subject site. On October 4, 2012, Mr. William Wescott of the USACE determined there are no jurisdictional wetlands or stream at the subject site (written verification is pending). The drainage features on -site are incised, linear, man -made features. Sidecasted material from ditch maintenance and excavation is visible on aerial photography and evident in the field. Although the ditches are mapped as a blue line feature on the USGS map, they cross mapped soil boundaries and do not exhibit intermittent or perennial stream characteristics. A USGS map, NRCS soil map, other supplemental mapping and site photographs are attached. Location of project site - please include reference to the county, nearest named town and highway number: The subject site consists of an approximate 45 acre portion of an 170.6 acre parent parcel. The site is located southwest of the intersection of Odham Road and Brooks Farm Road in Kinston, Lenoir County, North Carolina. According to the information provided to ECS and the Lenoir County Online GIS website, the Parcel Identification Number for the site is 455800461271. The site is currently used for agricultural purposes. Has any DWQ staff visited the site?
