The 5.45 acres support high dunes ( +/- 16 feet) to low areas ( +/- 2 feet). The low areas support wetlands which are subject to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. These wetland areas constitute 1.99 acres of the site. The eight buildings with sewage disposal, parking, and drive aisles will result in fill being placed in 1.78 acres of wetlands to allow for the placement of structures as well as setbacks required by the State for sewage disposal. Retaining walls are proposed to minimize encroachment into wetlands. Please find enclosed the application and plats for your consideration of this request.
