Duke Energy (Power): There are four power poles that are in conflict throughout the project along
the (East side) and one power pole on the (West side) of Hwy 87 (Maco Road). Duke Energy
has provided valid easement documentation.
Distribution will remove the four existing power poles that are in conflict along Hwy 87
(Maco Road). Duke Energy will then place five new poles further back (East side) outside
the existing ROW within a permanent utility easement. These locations are at L-Sta. 17+46
to L-Sta. 24+09. One of the existing poles removed and three of the new poles will cause
0.01 ac of fill in wetland and 0.31 ac of hand clearing impacts at site 3.
Two aerial lines that cross over to the west side of Hwy 87 (Maco Road) will be adjusted to
connect to an existing and a new power pole. Duke Energy will relocate the new power pole
further back (West side) in which the guy wire extends into a permanent utility easement.
These locations are at -L- Sta. 15+65 +/- and -L- Sta. 16+95 +/-. Hand clearing for the guy
wire inside the permanent utility easement will cause less than 0.01 ac of wetland impacts
at site 1. All stations are approximate in this report. Contact: Mr. Rand Miller; Email
ramiller@pike.com; Phone 910-625-1340.
AT&T (Telephone): A U/G fiber optic cable is in conflict throughout the project along the (East
side) of Hwy 87 (Maco Road). AT&T is encroaching within the NCDOT R/W.
AT&T will place a new U/G conduit (fiber optic) cable that follows along the (East side) of
Hwy 87 (Maco Road) inside the permanent utility easement by directional bore and
trenching. New cables will tie back into existing lines by placing two new handholes at the
bore pit locations. Handhole locations are at -L- Sta. 13+74 +/- and -L- Sta. 21+38 +/-. This
bore will produce no permanent impacts to the wetlands. All stations are approximate in
this report. Contact: Mr. Yuri Moody; Email yuri.moody@genxcgroup.com, Phone 786-519-
4809.
Spectrum (Cable Television): There is an aerial fiber optic cable that is attached to Duke Energy
poles and is in conflict along Hwy 87 (Maco Road).
Spectrum will attach new cable (.25-inch strand) to relocated Duke Energy poles from -L-
Sta. 14+80 +/- to -L- Sta. 23+63 +/-. Spectrum will also over-lash fiber optic cable to the
strand. This aerial will produce no permanent impacts to the wetlands. All stations are
approximate in this report. Contact: Steve Barnette; Email steve.barnette@charter.com;

Conclusion (Total Impacts due to Utilities):
Permanent Fill in Wetlands 0.01 acres
Hand Clearing in Wetlands 0.31 acres
